How do you download and iphone apps and games that must be paid but we can get it free?

It’s highly illegal to download paid programs of any kind without paying. That’s pirating and anyone who shows you how to do so on Y!A risks being suspended or banned.

That being said, you’d have to jailbreak your iPhone for them to work anyway, and if your doing that you probably know where to ddownload apps from (lets just say the sources that show you how to jailbreak can also show you where to get free apps). Unjailbroken iPhones will only run App Store apps purchased legally.

I am getting an iPod Touch soon, and I was picking out apps that interest me. I noticed in the right hand corner of the app store page on iTunes that there are different sections for iphone apps from TV ads and iTouch games from TV ads. Is that a mistake or does it mean that some apps are only available for one of the two devices?

Most apps are compatible with both but some need a microphone which the ipod touch doesn’t have. they probably just have the different categories so its easier to find apps from comercials.

I need to get all of my files onto my PC and all the programs that ive downloaded weren’t free.

I found a site that was off the side to facebook that said free coloured Iphone and I clicked it thinking "okay I’ll check it out" but after seeing them i want one it asks For my postal code so what do i do? Should i try it?

You will have to do some offers & buy things. It will end up costing more this way. Just save your money & when you are eligible for an upgrade, get the phone. Or start a new contract, when you can afford the phone.

There are hundreds of Free iPhone applications out there but how do any of them make any profit on a free service without advertisments.

They don’t directly. They either are full of ads, are just a short demo that attempts to get you to buy the full app, or are made by a company that has another source of income (facebook).

I just got the Iphone 3g on Monday, and downloaded the new software update – I downloaded the facebook app and some other apps but none of them are giving me notifications when someone comments, or when new apps are posted on the app store. If you still don’t know what im talking about, its the little number next to the application that is supposed to show up when a new notification is posted. Is there a setting I need to change?

Go into settings and make sure notifications are set to on for the ones you want. some things just don’t push, even though you’d think they should or they say they do.

I have a couple of apps that i downloaded for my iphone and the apps did nothing worth while or they didn’t work because I dont have GPS. Others were just plain falsely advertised. Please help me find out who I need to call to get the charges taken off.

contact whoever you bought them from, alot of times you can do that, like with cable, buy a movie by accident tell them you bought it by accident and lots of times they’ll take it off. or tell them you were just not satisfied with it that it wasn’t what you thought, lots of times they’ll help you out!

Is the GPS locator on the Maps application on the iPhone free? If you type in a direction it shows a little blue dot and tracks where you are going. I just want to know it AT&T will charge me for using the GPS locator or if it is free.

GPS is a separate hardware device that AT&T can’t track without Apple’s consent.

The maps are downloaded through the data network (which if you have a legit plan with AT&T, is free because you were required to have the unlimited data plan).

So you have nothing to worry about! (Keep in mind to not do anything with AT&T navigator…that’s a software)

I had to re download itunes because my computer got messed up, and i have all my music and apps and everything still on my iphone and i havent synced it yet

i got all of my music back into itunes, but how do i get my apps back into itunes? because once i sync it i think that it will delete all of the apps from the iphone…how do i get them back?

Once you have downloaded and installed iTunes, connect and identify your device; but you will need to explicitly choose NOT to sync at first, for the reasons you have already described..

Enter your previous iTunes account information so that iTunes recognizes you. It’s a good idea to go look at the Purchase History under your account tab to verify that everything is in Sync. Once your account info is entered, your iTunes will automatically update some purchases; but not all. I have no idea what the criteria is or why it works that way; but you will almost certainly have some items on your phone that are not automatically in iTunes.

Now, select your device (iPhone) in the left hand pane of iTunes, and right (or command) click to get a context menu. Choose "Transfer Purchases". This activity may take a long time to complete depending on how much difference there is between the iTunes library and the contents of your device.

Verify the two devices are equivalent. You can now setup syncing safely.
