Coming To An iPhone

is there a fast way to organize apps, like on your computer? other than the usual way on the iphone? i downloaded way too many (over 6 pages)
also, what is your favorite app? not that i have much room to add it…lol

If its jailbroken you can download an app called "categories" and that will help a ton, if not I’m sorry to say there’s not anything you can do. On a lighter note my favorite app is Shazzam, any song you hear you hold your phone up to the music and it tells you the song name, artist, album and a link to buy it. I use it everywhere I go whether I’m at a club, restaurant or just listening to the radio. If your phone is unlocked deff make sure you get PDANet, that app allows you to use your phone as a modem and tether to your computer, Apple hasn’t allowed it yet but its amazing to be able to do. i am planning on buying an ipohne..if i unlock it and activate it..with a sim card but it isnt registered or anything..does it activate the sim card to make the iphone calls free?

No. You just get charged with whatever SIM you’re using.

Activation just bypasses iTunes (iTunes will only activate if you have AT&T). Unlocking bypasses the iPhone saying "wrong SIM card" and lets it get a non AT&T signal

I am afraid you can not do that, you really need jaibreak it, and blackra1n jailbreak iphone just in a 30 secs, it’s very convinent to do that, and you can download the blackra1n from here

You don’t. iPhone apps can only be downloaded to an iPhone or iTouch.

Those of you that may have facebook, there was a link saying get a free pink iphone, well i didn’t want to click the link and get into trouble and end up having to pay the full price afterwards!

That link is a scam – there is no such thing as a pink iPhone.

There is no way to get a free iPhone outside of winning one in a contest… those sites are always scams or try to get you to buy a whole bunch of stuff to get your ‘free’ item.

My neighbor is having a small party of 3 or 4 friends, for her birthday. I am letting her use my iphone. So she can listen to music out loud and I was going to download some apps that her and her friends could play on. I was thinking quizzes and truth or dare type of things

I have a 16 GB iphone 3g, and have 19 apps. I have over 14 GB left, but I was wondering if i can fill all of it up with apps? I have read people have like 100 apps and it works weird because they have too many. But I do not have any music or videos. And only 3.2 MB worth of pictures. So how many more apps can I get?

For what it’s worth, you can have a maximum of 144 applications installed on the phone at a time, regardless of their size.

In reality, though, It depends on the size of the apps you install. Some apps are really simple and small (like some of the flashlight apps or tip calculators). Those will probably always stay the same size, maybe get a little bigger with updates.

Other apps that download data a lot will increase in size over time. For example, apps that connect to Twitter often download and cache your Twitter messages, people’s avatars and images. Those will take up space. Also, apps like Ambiance that download sounds to be played, or games that download level packs will definitely take up extra room.

So you can easily fill up the phone with a couple dozen HUGE apps, or fill it up with a hundred small ones. It all depends on the size.

I’m looking for a free application for the iPhone (time management system, etc) that focus not only on events and tasks (next action, projects) but also on items that, for me, are constant and weekly. I want an application that makes it simple to create events like going to church every Sunday and going to summer school every Monday – Thursday from this time to that time. Is there a free or almost free iPhone application that can do that?
